Every year about this time, I’m tempted by the allure of a suite of new operating systems for my computer and mobile devices. This year is no different except for the addition of iPadOS which has the promise of letting my backward corporate web applications be functional on my primary daily device.…

WWDC 2014 starts in about a week. I’m sure that by this time next week there will be a line around Moscone West waiting to get in to hear what new offerings Apple has for their community. Dr. Michael Johnson is a great presenter. I love his style and anecdotes. I’ve seen him present at 4 or 5 WWDCs over the years. Unfortunately these sessions are protected under NDA and are not available for re-broadcast anywhere. Dr. Johnson is particularly good because he primarily talks about creating technology solutions to real world business workflows.…

I took some pictures durning the WWDC Bash (formerly known as the Campus Bash) this year in Yerba Buena Gardens. The band OK Go played. They were really good. I wish their set had been longer.
With just over a week left until Steve Jobs takes the stage for the keynote address at this years annual World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, I am thinking about what we might see. After every keynote there is always a short-lived euphoria that results from being inside the reality distortion field followed but a postpartum depression.…

Barenaked Ladies played a private concert at Yerba Buena Gardens for the WWDC Bash — formerly known as the Campus Bash. Every year Apple schedules a band and keeps it a secret until they take the stage. Prior year bands have included the Wallflowers and Ozomatli.…

I’m a recent convert to the Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology. I have heard a lot about it from listening to Leo Laporte podcasts. I did some investigation. I bought David Allen’s book. I have tried using the methodology using just iCal and am now trying iGTD and iCal.…
