Jim’s youngest son, Zach Gibson, graduated from Air Force Basic Training in San Antonio. He’s on his way to more training to be a forward combat air traffic controller with the Air Force Special Forces. I wasn’t able to make the graduation but Jim was there.
Every year we take the family out to a movie on the day after Thanksgiving. Usually Disney has some offering that the whole family can enjoy. This year the offerings of Cat in the Hat and Brother Bear we not on anyone’s list.…

I just got back from seeing The Matrix Revolutions. I did not write up The Matrix Reloaded when it cam out so I guess I can talk about both movies. No such review would be complete without referring to the original movie.…

This movie had a lot of promise. The case looked good. The special effects are excellent. The story broke down for me when the movie failed to follow its own movie logic. The movie is about a war between Vampires and Warewolves.…

I saw T3 last night at the sneak preview. It opens today. I have not read any other reviews. I really enjoyed this movie. It was true to both the spirit and the story of the first two movies. And the action was first rate Arnold.…

I went to see this sequel this afternoon. It was actually my wife who wanted to see it. I enjoyed the first movie and had a good idea what to expect. What I got exceeded my expectations.
This movie was a lot of fun.…

I went to see this movie as a favor to a friend. I was not too keen on enduring the excessive computer graphics, but was actually impressed with the quality. Aside from providing the much needed background as to who the hulk is or how he became the hulk (for those of us who may not know), the movie was well done.…

This movie was excellent! Not only was it Jim Carrey at his usual best (good comedy, and a little bit of his serious side), but Morgan Freeman does a great job in the role of God. Plus, this movie contains several very good messages!…

This is clearly an attempt to create a new action/spy thriller franchise starring Vin Diesel. The sequel is already in production.
The opening scene sets the tone. You have a 007-like character trying to infiltrate a European rave. He stands out like a sore thumb in his tux and gets killed.…

I rented The Bourne Identity on DVD this week. I had wanted to see it in the theater but did not get to it. I’ve enjoyed Matt Damon in other parts and this looked like a good part for him.
The movie itself is a remake of a 1988 made-for-tv movie that I did not see.…

I wasn’t really looking forward to seeing this movie. The free ticket that came with the extended version of the Fellowship of the Ring made it a little easier to justify going to see it. I saw it on a Sunday afternoon.…

The previews made this look like the latest Clancy movie. It’s not, but the cinematography is reminiscent of Red October. There’s even a key part of the story involving the political officer, just like Red October
The story is based on a true event in 1961 of a near reactor meltdown.…

Tammy & I went to see the Ring last night. We went into the moving knowing almost nothing about the movie. I had only read a brief synopsis that said that the movie was a remake of a recent Japanese film by the same name.…
