At 4PM local time on November 19, 2024, Starship Flight Test 6 was launched. I took the opportunity to drive down and watch the launch with some dedicated space enthusiasts (and the President-elect). I watched the launch from Rocket Ranch Outpost.
Unfortunately this test launch had to divert away from the catch tower. I did get to see a pair of large fireballs just off the beach as a result.
Starship flight test 6 was the sixth flight test of a SpaceX Starship launch vehicle. The prototype vehicles flown were the Ship 31 upper stage and first stage Booster 13.[3][4] The flight test started on November 19, 2024, at 22:00:00 UTC (4:00 pm CST, local time at the launch site).[1]
