SpaceX Launch 4-23

By luck and because SpaceX is launching so many rockets, I had the opportunity to catch a night launch of a Falcon 9 from SLC 40. I drove out to the causeway with s direct line of site to the launch pad. I was also able to see Artemis I on the launchpad nearby.

I found a piece of dirt and set up about an hour beforehand. There was commraderee with the other folks who’d chosen to be out there with the mosquitos at 10:22 PM. The rocket would eventually launch after a 1-hour weather delay.

I met some wonderful people who’d driven up from as near as Miami and as far as Utah to see the Artemis launch and were catching this one as a bonus. I talked to some folks who work for NASA in Houston on the Gateway project and the Suit project. They had incredible enthusiasm, insight, and stories.
