Balloons

I got up early Saturday morning to go to Plano for the Balloon Fest. Unfortunately I did not get up early enough to see them before dawn and the weather was too windy for them to actually take off. So instead of sharing my new pictures, I thought I would dig up some pictures from 2009.

Blackfish

This is an amazing documentary that takes you into the world of the Orca Tilikum killing of his trainer Dawn Brancheau. The story is tragic but what is even more tragic is the way these beautiful, intelligent creatures are treated. The hero in this story is amazingly OSHA who found the working environment to be unsafe.… Read the rest “Blackfish”

The Wolverine

Pretty scenery but the movie gets lost in its own twists. It’s better than the first Wolverine and the third x-men movie that it follows.

R.I.P.D.

Very bizarre movie. The trailers made it look like Men in Black IV. That preconception was accurate although the movie could have also been in the Ghostbusters franchise if it were more funny. The Call

Very predictable. It followed the trailer right up to the ending when Halle Berry turns into Catwoman. The most unbelievable part was the police response.
