Last month I had a trip to Vancouver with a couple friends. On my first trip to Vancouver I was fascinated by the seaplanes in the harbour. I missed an opportunity to take a flight on that trip but this time I was determined to have a go. Harbour Air operates flights to nearby towns as well as “tour” flights that return to the point of departure. I booked a 40-minute tour flight from Green Lake in Whistler. This flight would take off from the lake and head southwest to see volcanoes and glaciers at eye-level. The lake off from the lake was really smooth. There was some chop during the flight as to be expected from a Beaver-sized craft. Everyone had a window seat. I shot video and took pictures from the left side of the plane. I edited that video below along with a my friend’s flight to Victoria taking off from Vancouver Harbour.
