This morning’s goal was to take a picture of the moon setting just as the sun was rising. This should produce the opportunity for some interesting coloration on the moon. All I have to do is find a location where I can see the horizon at 240º. That’s actually trickier than it should be. The only place around here with any elevation is either a highway overpass or a building. On a clear day you can see all the way to downtown Dallas. My normal spot for this like of photography is the local lake. That usually works for east-west views but this moon was blocked by local houses and tree.
