Hunger Games

I thought it was a very good translation of the first book. The first book is full of Katnis’ inner dialog and descriptions of the fashion choices made by other characters. While we can see the fashions we have to infer much about her relationship with Peeta. Hopefully audiences who have not read the books will get that as it is critical to the next movie. This film does do a good job of setting up the rest of the series while still able to stand on its own. The ending was perfect mix of triumph and foreboding. I wish we had seen more of Lenny Kravitz. I was skeptical about Woody Harrelson but he was good in his part playing the sobering up drunk with subtly.
